Dustin is a biologist and agro-ecologist whose experience runs the gamut across a variety of academic research as well as design-oriented projects. As a young professional living in State College, Dustin is the Founder and President of GreenTowers, LLC, a startup urban agricultural product design company. Dustin is passionate about all things related to food, but admittedly prefers growing, cooking, and eating food with friends, versus cleaning up friends' leftover food.
Dustin graduated from Penn State University in 2014 with a B.S. in Biology and interdisciplinary honors in Horticulture and Engineering Entrepreneurship. His most formative PSU experiences included working in on-campus honeybee research and plant cell wall dynamics labs, as well as pretty thoroughly hacking the system to obtain startup funding from various university-sponsored and affiliated competitions.
Dustin is always excited to discuss the latest news and nuances in politics, science, and current events, and hopes to be able to provide some mentorship in the co.space and extended community to anyone interested in starting a new business venture, even if that's just acting as a sounding board and bouncing some early ideas back and forth.
Dustin has lived in the co.space home since August 2013, first as a student and then as a young professional, but in his newest role as House Manager, is most excited to help bring a creative design-thinking approach to ongoing house operations and the uniquely awesome co.community house culture.
